“Student Ambassador National Programme” for School Senior Prefects
National Child Protection Authority.
The “Student Ambassador National Programme” is a programme organized by National Child Protection Authority which is specially created with the purpose of developing knowledge, skills & attitudes of senior school prefects on child protection. Here, the school prefects from grade 9 and above are considered as senior prefects. It is expected to implement a sustainable programme aimed at school prefects in order to create a child friendly & protective environment within the school.
Child friendly school is a school which actively fulfills each & every right of every child mentioned on the Universal Convention on the Rights of the Children (UNCRC). It is expected to get the active involvement of school prefects through “Student Ambassador National Programme” to establish child friendly school concept in schools.It is a prime concern to build a leader of a child protection who prioritize child protection, stand against child abuse, take actions to protect children in every possible occasion as future adults or professionals occupy in diverse sectors with the exposure they gain during young age as a Student Ambassador.

The duly filled application should be sent by registered post on or before 30th September 2022 to Chairman, National Child Protection Authority, No 330, Thalawathugoda Road, Madiwela, Sri Jayewardenepura.
