Establishment of a Pro Bono Lawyers' Pool for Child Abuse Cases

 

The National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) is seeking to establish a pool of qualified lawyers to provide legal services as a noble cause to protect and uphold the rights while providing legal services to victims of child abuse reported to the NCPA.We invite applications from experienced lawyers who are willing to appear in court and represent child abuse victims, while ensuring the avoidance of conflicts of interest.

  1. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a practicing lawyer.
  2. Experience in appearing before Magistrate’s Courts or High Courts.
  3. All professional and transportation expenses must be borne by the lawyers (services to be provides on pro-bono basis)
  4. The applicant must pledge strict confidentiality regarding all service matters.
  5. Applicants should specify in their application the locations of the courts (jurisdiction) where they are able to provide legal services.
